Magic showed up once again for senior portraits! I loveee shooting these so much. Lilly is amazing and was so laid back and up for anything, the entire session flowed so effortlessly. Shout-out to The Ginger Birdie studio for giving us the coolest space to create in!
North Carolina Zoo, Asheboro NC | Jb + Elizabeth Wedding
Being a photographer has brought some pretty cool people and experiences into our life, and this wedding is a perfect example of that. One the veterinarian and one the keeper, Jb & Elizabeth met and fell in love while working at the North Carolina Zoo. Talk about a rad love story! We were so excited to be a part of it, and let me tell you their day did not disappoint. The sky decided to give them some good luck right before the ceremony and we had a slight monsoon. Everyone’s equipment got wet, the mics no longer worked, the schedule got jumbled, and despite the chaos of the rain as you’ll see below, we all had a blast. We ran around the zoo chasing what light we had left, met some animals along the way, and finished the night with clear skies at the gorgeous Hippo Beach. It was a truly incredible day.

Loray Mills, Gastonia NC | Morgan + Tyler Wedding
These two make my heart so happy. They have this infectious fun energy to them, and are some of the most kind and laid back people I've ever had the pleasure to work with. On Good Friday they said I do at gorgeous Loray Mill in Gastonia. It was supposed to rain but ended up being the most perfect, beautiful day. Everything about their wedding was so breathtaking and genuine. You can feel their love through these images, Tyler has this ability to make Morgan laugh....like all the time. It's seriously the cutest thing in the world! They are the kind of people you can't be in a bad mood around, the kind of people that remind me of how much I love being a photographer.
Thank you guys for trusting us to capture your special day and being generally awesome. I hope you enjoy these photos as much as we enjoyed taking them! Every time I hear "bye bye bye" I will think of you (and of course simultaneously jump and wave at the sky)

Over the summer I had the pleasure of shooting a look book with a collective of talented artists at Wherehouse Art Hotel. The space is so inspiring, a written description or photo could never really do it justice. Located above Krankie’s coffee in downtown Winston-Salem, the Art Hotel is something to experience, and luckily for locals and travelers alike- It's also an Airbnb!

Powell Family Session
My Tanglewood Park session with the Powell's was so much fun and full of fall magic! I haven't seen them since our Holiday session last year so it was really nice to catch up. Magan's husband Ken was just deployed so it was really important for them to have these photos taken and I'm so grateful that they chose me!
Grace is their spirited daughter and she is a blast to photograph! As soon as I point the camera at her she goes into the zone, coming up with poses and willing to try any request I give her.

Pumpkin Patch
I couldn't think of a better 1st blog post on our new site than sharing our family adventure to the pumpkin patch! Our daughter Violet is absolutely obsessed with pumpkins so this is her version of heaven on earth. Hawks Pumpkin Patch is a dream, if you're local I highly suggest checking it out!
